Centrally located in Weston, Dr. Bart Chapman offers alternative and naturopathic medicine to all communities in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. He is an NCCAOM Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
Chapman Acupuncture and Naturopathic Center provides all of your alternative and complementary medical and chiropractic needs. Dr. Chapman utilizes not only his own extensive and unique array of various alternative medicine modalities, but also provides access to a traditional M.D. physician, as well as massage therapists. This approach allows every patient to receive the type of treatment not only necessary to help improve their physical and mental well-being, but also allows patients to receive treatments with which they are most comfortable, not relying on only one type of medicine.
At Chapman Acupuncture and Naturopathic Center, patients may receive differing treatment modalities including acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, injection therapy, prolotherapy, classical homeopathy, biological terraine, tuina/manipulation, chiropractic manipulation, massage therapy, and a full array of diagnostic testing. The type of modality or modalities utilized by Dr. Chapman and his associates will depend upon the problem area presented, the individual’s own disposition and other factors discussed personally with Dr. Chapman at each visit. For those who wish to employ alternative medicine, but who don’t like needles, many other alternatives are available in addition to acupuncture, such as cupping, use of lasers, electric stimulation, guasha, tuina and acupressure. Dr. Chapman is also certified in the use of auricular therapy and is NADA certified for detoxification treatments.
Dr. Chapman graduated from Temple University with a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Biology. He then received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine/Los Angeles. After acupuncture successfully alleviated back pain caused by two herniated disks, Dr. Chapman made the life-altering decision to return to school in order to help others using the treatments that helped him to regain a pain-free lifestyle. In 1998, Dr. Chapman graduated from the four-year program at the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare with his O.M.D. degree. The program was affiliated with the University of Miami Medical School, giving Dr. Chapman the opportunity to do his internship at the medical school in different clinical areas. Dr. Chapman received his Naturopathic Medical Doctor in 2001.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Chapman has engaged in several academic pursuits including a teaching position educating M.D.s, D.O.s and D.C.s pursuing their acupuncture licenses in Florida. Additionally, he has consulted at The George Washington University Medical School Alternative and Complementary Medicine Clinic, teaching the fourth year medical students.
Dr. Chapman is licensed to practice acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Florida, Virginia and Maryland, and is a licensed naturopathic physician.
